QUETZAL moved from concept into its evolving desktop prototype, demonstrating the foundation of a personalized AI assistant capable of receiving questions and returning useful responses through a local interface.

This early milestone established that the larger vision could be developed incrementally rather than remaining purely conceptual.

August 2026 — GERI Takes Shape
Development began on GERI, a focused estimate follow-up system designed for contractors and local service businesses. The project grew out of a practical problem: good estimates often go cold simply because consistent follow-up takes time.

GERI was intentionally designed as a narrow, useful tool rather than a large CRM, allowing businesses to keep using familiar workflows while automating the follow-up process.

GERI reached a functioning pilot-ready state using Google Sheets and Google Apps Script. The system supports automated estimate follow-up emails, reminder-based follow-up, editable templates, personalization, and customer-controlled settings.

Development began on FREKI, a sister product to GERI focused on unpaid invoices and receivables.

Where GERI helps businesses pursue the close before work begins, FREKI is intended to continue the process after the work is complete by helping businesses maintain consistent follow-up until outstanding invoices are resolved.

The Redding Group established its initial visual identity, company positioning, and brand philosophy around creative exploration, intellectual humility, and a consistent standard of quality.

The parent company was deliberately designed to remain broad enough to support projects across different industries and disciplines, allowing the work itself to define what comes next rather than committing the organization to a single category.

Development began on the first public website for The Redding Group, creating a central place for its projects, ongoing work, ideas, and future releases.

QUETZAL has progressed beyond its initial question-and-answer proof of concept into a functional desktop assistant capable of understanding and acting within the user’s digital environment.

The base prototype now combines natural voice interaction, screen understanding, mouse and keyboard control, contextual memory, multi-step task execution, safety confirmations, and action verification.

With its core desktop capabilities built, development has entered final auditing and refinement—focused on reliability, recovery behavior, privacy, performance, and preparation for a stable presentation-ready release candidate.
